YOU PLAY. WE IMPROVE.

You're one of the first people testing DashCam. Over the next two weeks, your play shapes what this tool becomes — before it goes wider.

BEFORE YOU START

The questions testers ask most

How does DashCam actually record?

Think of it like a car dashcam. The app is always running in the background, but it only saves something when you press Ctrl+Shift+F — that's when the last 30 seconds are saved as a file on your computer. That file is uploaded to us only when you choose to submit a report.

Does DashCam record everything on my computer, including Discord and personal calls?

The app only runs when you manually turn it on. While it's active, it captures system audio, microphone, and screen continuously — but everything stays in the 30-second temporary memory and is overwritten in real time. Nothing is stored unless you flag an incident. We recommend turning DashCam on only during gaming sessions and closing it when you're done.

Can people hear my microphone while DashCam is running in the background?

No one hears anything in real time. The microphone has to be active for the 30-second memory to work, but your voice is not saved or sent anywhere unless you press Ctrl+Shift+F during an incident. If you flag a clip that includes you talking, that audio goes into a local file on your computer — and only reaches us if you choose to submit a report.

Where are the recordings stored — on my device or on your server?

All recordings are stored locally on your device by default. Files are only uploaded to our server when you choose to submit a report. You stay in full control of what gets shared.

What if I flag a match by accident?

No problem. Flagged clips appear as "pending reports" inside the app and are not sent to us automatically. You can review them, add information, or delete them before submitting. Nothing leaves your device without your decision.

How many hours per day do I need to play?

No minimum. We're looking for testers who already play regularly — daily or a few times a week. Just turn DashCam on at the start of every gaming session during the two-week testing period, and play as you normally would.

What if I don't encounter any toxic behavior during the two weeks — do I still get the reward?

Yes. The reward is based on participation, not on how many reports you submit. As long as DashCam was active during your normal gaming sessions and you complete the entry survey, weekly check-in, and exit survey, you receive the full reward. A report-free period is valid data for us too.
